In a recent (2022) study on hotel investment opportunities in Asia, HCA Consultants reviewed 16 countries in Asia for their Investment Potential in the tourism sector. This study was commissioned by a sovereign wealth fund and some of the study's results were permitted to be shared publicly.
The office which was opened in 2014, has been transformed from a pure representative office of HCA's main office in Hong Kong to a full-service area office for Thailand and the areas of South-East Asia. Therefore the "home territory" of the office are the countries of Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam, while the Pattaya-based team will also cover assignments in other parts of Asia and beyond.
In a recent article on CNN Traveler, HCA Managing Partner Heiko W. Zscherp was quoted after being interviewed by the CNN reporters on a recent study on Luxury Hotel ratings in China.
